Saving things

How do I save a product from Safari or a shopping app?

Open the product page, tap the Share button and choose SingLlStocr. Check the name, add the price you see, pick an aisle and how long to wait, then tap Save. The item appears in SingLlStocr the next time you open it.

SingLlStocr isn't in the share sheet.

Scroll to the end of the row of apps in the share sheet, tap More, and turn on SingLlStocr. You can also drag it closer to the front.

Why is the name or picture missing?

Some stores don't share a title or picture with other apps. You can add the name yourself and take or choose a photo in the item's editor.

Can I add things without a link?

Yes. Tap + in Aisles to add something you see in a store, with an optional photo, price and store name.

Deciding and buying

How does the wait work?

When you save something, choose a wait of a few days or until a sale such as Double 11. Home shows how long is left, and you get a reminder on the day it ends. Then decide to buy it, wait a little longer or pass on it.

What does "Passed on" mean?

When you decide not to buy something, tap Pass on its page. It moves to Passed On in the Me tab, and its latest logged price counts toward the amount you didn't spend this year. You can restore it from Passed On.

Where do the Sale Calendar dates come from?

They follow common sale periods in Taiwan, such as Lunar New Year shopping, 618, department store anniversary sales and Double 11. Lunar New Year dates follow the lunar calendar. Promotions vary by store and year, so treat them as a guide for when to look.

How do I record what I bought?

Tap Bought on an item's page, or check items off in List and tap Mark Bought. You can change the amount to what you actually paid, and add the store, a receipt photo, a return window and a warranty.

Reminders and settings

I'm not getting reminders.

Open iPhone Settings › Notifications › SingLlStocr and allow notifications. In the app, Me › Settings shows whether notifications are on and lets you pick the time reminders arrive.

When do return and warranty reminders arrive?

Three days before a return window closes and 30 days before a warranty ends, at the reminder time you choose in Settings.

Which currency does the app use?

Amounts are shown in New Taiwan dollars (NT$). When you see a price in another currency, such as yen on a Japanese site, choose that currency in Log Price and it's converted to NT$ with the day's reference rate. The original amount is kept too.

How does the currency converter work?

It uses daily reference rates provided by ExchangeRate-API. Rates charged by banks, card issuers and stores usually differ a little.

How do I check a spend-and-save offer?

Open Me › Deal Calculator and choose Spend & Save. Enter your total and the offer, for example NT$100 off every NT$1,000. It shows what you pay and how much more you'd need to spend for the next discount.

Your data

Where is my data stored? Is there a backup?

Your items, prices, photos and records are stored on your device and included in your regular iPhone backup. SingLlStocr doesn't have accounts and doesn't sync between devices. Deleting the app removes its data.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Me › Settings › Delete All Data. Saved items, prices, purchases, receipt photos, people and settings are removed from the device.

Can I buy things in SingLlStocr?

No. SingLlStocr helps you plan and record your own shopping. It doesn't sell products or take payments; links open the store's own page.
